

Eros Tang
Eros Tang is a rising young artist in Toronto’s music scene. A soloist, chamber musician and leading orchestral musician, he has been gaining recognition as an artist to watch.
Eros has had extensive experience playing and leading in numerous orchestras. He has been the concertmaster of the North York Concert Orchestra, University of Toronto Symphony Orchestra, University of Toronto Opera Orchestra, and the CAST Philomusica Orchestra.
As an accomplished chamber musician, Eros has been engaging audiences in many performance settings. As a member of the Chiron String Quartet, Eros was awarded the First Prize in the Felix Galimir Chamber Music Competition at the University of Toronto. He has performed in France as a participant in the Festival Pablo Casals. He has also performed at the Orford Music Festival, Domaine Forget Academy, and the Toronto Summer Music Festival among others. In 2016, Eros was invited to perform in a chamber orchestra with acclaimed French pianist Richard Clayderman. In his chamber groups, Eros has worked with many renowned ensembles, including members of the Juilliard String Quartet, the Tokyo String Quartet, the Pražák String Quartet, the Brentano String Quartet, and the New Orford String Quartet.
Eros has received his Bachelor and Master of Music in Performance degrees at the University of Toronto under the guidance of Erika Raum. He has completed the Artist Diploma Program at The Glenn Gould School as a recipient of the Anna Margaret Wallace and William Alexander McCoy Scholarship. Eros has attained his ARCT Performance Certificate in both violin and piano, and has extensive experience teaching both instruments.
